Colts Face Atlanta Falcons in Berlin – NFL Week 10

Hello, football enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Everything good I trust on this fine morning kickoff to the tenth week coming directly from Deutschland. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 8.30am CST/9.30am EST and 2.30pm GMT the powerful Colts (7-2) face off against the Falcons (three wins and five losses). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A minor slip from the broadcast team there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the commentator with an unfortunately hot mic.

Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have elected to receive. The Colts' offense will be setting up shortly. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in their last game?

Not to be outdone the vocalist performing the Star Spangled Banner has some of the largest shoulder pads you are bound to notice. Loving the sartorial choices today. The game is about to start after a choral number for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Action

Scoreless at 13:30 in the first

Here we go! And we have an exciting start after Jonathan Taylor receives a short throw, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then loses the ball … only for his center to save his bacon with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the excitement continues as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The gamble fails to pay off as the wide receiver fails to catch a fastball from the quarterback. Prior to the failed attempt the Falcons defender put a massive tackle on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. Atlanta's defense started strong as they attempt to end their three-game losing streak. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Touchdown Recap

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

A disappointing start but it only deteriorates for the Falcons as they cough the ball back to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. Michael Penix Jr is hunted down and can’t keep hold of the ball.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets the running back up to roll in for the score on the following play. Kicker Michael Badgley misses the point after attempt. Oops.

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-7 Falcons 6:07, 1st quarter

Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a score of their own. The wide receiver makes some substantial catches to put them in the scoring area then the defense opens up for the running back to run untouched into the end zone through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. He completes the drive for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
