Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known cheerleaders as she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns several golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to compete and have fun," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better human being. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple top competitors in the sport at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially reaching youth audiences.
The young star has millions of followers and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
