This event resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
