Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge comes as the boxing community had expressed condolences for the star in the wake of the heartbreaking incident.
